Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of all Facilities associated with That Bike Place Ltd.

In these terms and conditions:

  • We/us/our means That Bike Place Ltd
  • You/your means you
  • Facilities means all premises, equipment, tools, workshop, and goods supplied.
Facilities Bookings

Your booking is personal to you and is not transferable. You cannot let anyone else use your booking or part thereof.

Facilities hours of use

The facilities are available 7 days a week -

3.30pm - 9.30pm Mon-Fri
9.30am - 9.30pm Sat, Sun and Bank Holidays.

We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. No new bookings will be taken to start after 8pm.

Facilities hire fee

The hire fee for each workshop bay is:

  • £15/hour
  • £80/day

    (a day rate is 6 hours. 3.30pm-9.30pm weekdays and 9.30am-3.30pm and 3.30pm -9.30pm weekends/bank holidays).

  • £400/week (5 days)

The facilities will be staffed by a member of That Bike Place Ltd.

Payment

We accept payments by credit/debit cards and cash.


Cancellation of bookings

If You wish to cancel a booking, You must give Us not less than 24 hours prior written notice. If You do not give Us at least 24 hours written notice of cancellation, We reserve the right to charge a fee at Our discretion. For cancellations where You give us at least 24 hours prior notice, no charge will be incurred.

We may cancel any bookings in the event of an emergency, if required to do so by law or under the terms of our lease of our premises, or for health and safety reasons.

We will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage to You or anyone else as a consequence of any booking cancellation by Us.

Risk

Your use and consumption of the Facilities is entirely at Your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, You release us from all claims, damage, loss and liability which You suffer or incur in connection with Your use and consumption of the Facilities.

Any property that You leave in or about the Facilities is entirely at Your risk.

Health & Safety
  1. Before You hire a workshop bay for the first time, You must undertake a workplace health & safety (WHS) induction.

  2. We reserve the right to require You to undertake further WHS inductions as a condition of use of the Facilities. This includes the introduction of new tools into the Facilities.

  3. Safety in the Facilities is essential. You must immediately report to Us any hazards or hazardous situations (or things that might reasonably become hazards or create hazardous situations) which could or might pose a risk to health & safety.

  4. You must comply with reasonable directions that We give in relation to health & safety. For example, this may include stopping the use of any tool.

  5. You may only use tools and equipment ("tools") for their intended purpose, in a safe manner and according to any safety or instruction manuals or other directions We may give. You must read the safety manual for each power tool before You use it. If You do not know how to use a tool, then You should not use it.

  6. You must take all reasonable care when using Our tools.

  7. You must be polite and courteous at all times when dealing with Us and other users of the workshop (including delivery and maintenance personnel).

  8. Any breach of any health & safety term will be documented. We may terminate Your hire of the Facilities forthwith for any one health & safety breach. We will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage to You or anyone else as a consequence of any breach of health & safety matter by You.
Use and access to the Facilities
  1. Your use of the Facilities must not impede their use by others.

  2. You will be entitled to use Our tools and equipment for the duration of a bay hire. Use of tools which are common use for all workshop bays will be on a "first come, first served" basis. However, You must allow others to use tools if You are not using them.

  3. All tools are and remain at all times Our property.

  4. All tools must be returned to their designated place, immediately after You have finished using them, in the same condition and state of repair, fair wear and tear excepted. You are responsible for cleaning the tools that You use.

  5. You must comply with all relevant laws when using the Facilities and follow Our reasonable directions in relation to the use of the Facilities.

  6. We reserve the right to stop Your hire and use of the Facilities in an emergency.

  7. We will keep Our tools in good working order and condition, fair wear and tear excepted. We will service, repair and maintain Our tools in accordance with the supplier's instructions and recommendations and by appropriately qualified people.

  8. We will replace and substitute tools as necessary. However, We will not be liable if any of Our tools go missing or are not available for any reason.

  9. Spare parts for Your motorcycle are Your responsibility.

  10. We are not responsible for any work, maintenance or alterations to Your motorcycle. All work, maintenance, alterations or modifications are Your responsibility and must be carried out by You.
Facilities rules

Rules will be published on our website and at our workshop. You agree to read and comply with Our Rules. Failure to do so may result in immediate cancellation of Your bookings of the Facilities.

Each working bay must be left in the same condition as at the start of Your hire of it. Any rubbish must be removed from the Facilities and placed in the bins provided. Any failure to do so will incur a cleaning charge of £50.

You must notify us of any damage promptly which You cause or contribute, the Facilities, any of Our property within or around the Facilities, Our tools and anybody else's property within or around our premises. You must pay the costs of making good any damage or loss to those things to the extent that You have caused or contributed to that damage or loss.

All advice, recommendations, information, educational workshops and assistance provided by Us in connection with our Facilities, your use and consumption of them, is given in good faith, on an "as is" basis and is believed by Us to be appropriate, accurate and reliable. However, You acknowledge that We are not licensed mechanics and in using Our Facilities, You do not rely upon Our advice(s). You are solely responsible on how You use and apply Our advice(s).

You indemnify Us and will hold Us harmless against any claims, loss or damage in connection with:

  1. Damage to the Facilities, any of Our property in our premises, our tools and anyone else's property, and
  2. Any injury to any person or the death of any person in or around the Facilities.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied terms and conditions and all liability in connection with the Facilities and Your use and consumption of them.

The supply or consumption of alcohol and/or non-prescription drugs in the Facilities is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to refuse entry or to eject anyone from the Facilities if we believe that they are intoxicated.

The Facilities are a strictly non-smoking area.

No person under the age of 18 years may be present anywhere in the Facilities without express permission from the workshop manager.

Glass, ceramics and other similar breakable products are strictly prohibited in the Facilities.

Noise must be kept to a minimum so as not to disturb the quiet enjoyment of neighbouring residents and shops.

We reserve the right to adjust or vary Our terms & conditions at any time.
